Establishment and timeline:

1983 – Establishment as a Nahal settlement

1984 – The settlement turns civilian and breaks ground

1989 – founding of the Youth Village

2006 – absorption of the evictees of Kfar Darom

This is a community of great human and natural landscape. The community presents a variety of employment opportunities, activities and experiences, all in a young and developing atmosphere. It is a place filled with joy which enables the whole family to express itself and live life to the fullest. Furthermore, the community includes many charitable organizations.

The community consists of 104 families and growing.

 

Facilities and institutions:

Function hall, gym, active library with a toddlers’ room, playgrounds, a small petting farm, a horse farm, daycare facilities, preschools, Kiryat Arba school, synagogues, Mikveh, and an HMO healthcare maintenance clinic.

 

Local businesses:

Tefillin Hebron, paper goods marketing, computer marketing, alternative health treatments, horse farm.

 

Employment:

The residents are employed both within the community and outside of it at Kiryat Arba, Gush Etzion, Jerusalem, Be’er Sheba, Kiryat Gat, and more. Many residents are of the liberal professions.

 

Interesting to know:

The Youth Village in the community was built by the residents themselves.

The community is located at 35 minutes from Be’er Sheba and Jerusalem and 20 minutes from Gush Etzion.
